Abstract-The thermal emf in samarium monosulfide was investigated at temperatures between 300 and 530 K. At T = 435-455 K, an anomalous increase in the emf was found. This effect is explained by a noncoherent change in the valency of samarium ions. © 2000 MAIK "Nauka/Interperiodica".
