The world's largest industrial exhibition Hannover Messe took place in Hannover (Germany) from April,7 to April, 11. This year the fair attracted over 5000 companies which presented their developments in industrial automation and IT, energy and environmental engineering, industrial supply and research and technology. The Hanover fair attracted more than 180,000 visitors from over 100 countries which proves Hannover Messe to be a global platform to learn about the world latest trends in technology.
Since Hannover Messe is a significant event not only in Europe but also on world level, it was visited by such official dignitaries as Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Dr. Angela Merkel and Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte. They participated in the opening ceremony and thereupon visited several booths in different pavilions of a complex.
SmS tenzotherm Rus exhibited among the residents of the Skolkovo Fund at a stand E53 in the "Research and Technology" hall. This year Skolkovo presented 13 companies from the IT, energy and nuclear clusters.
SmS tenzotherm Rus introduced products with unique characteristics which were produced at a recently launched production line. These products are resistant strain gauges and strain sensors based on a samarium sulfide semiconductor. The company also presented intermediate results of a research on thermoelectric properties of samarium sulfide.
Visitors had an opportunity to test the sensitivity of an SmS sensor with help of a model representing a metal beam with an attached SamCell sensor. Even an insignificant load on the beam was detected by the sensor which sent a signal to a laptop monitor, whereby visitors could be convinced of the high sensitivity of the presented products in real time.
Due to their unique characteristics, resistant strain gauges produced by SmS tenzotherm Rus can be used in various industries. That was the reason why representatives of various business sectors visited the company’s booth – from automotive industry, construction of roads and bridges, manufacturing wind turbines and industrial components, consulting companies etc. Among them were the delegates of industry giants as BMW, Siemens and Emerson.
The presented samples of resistant strain gauges, which are as robust as metal ones and almost as sensitive as silicon ones, aroused particular interest among the visitors of the company’s booth. Everyone who took a keen interest in SmS strain gauges were offered to test free samples in their production or in research and development.
The produce exhibited of SmS tenzotherm Rus is protected by Russian and foreign patents.
